Graduate Student Intern
Destiny has experience working in the behavioral and mental health field, providing psychosocial rehabilitation services to adults and youth. Her background includes facilitating psychoeducation, developing coping and communication skills, promoting emotional regulation, and supporting clients in strengthening daily living skills within community settings.
She is passionate about helping individuals build confidence, enhance resilience, and successfully navigate life's challenges. Destiny has experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, and life transitions.
Using a person-centered and strengths-based approach, Destiny strives to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. She believes that meaningful growth begins with authentic connection and is committed to helping clients recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve their personal goals.
Outside of counseling, Destiny enjoys mentoring youth, participating in community engagement initiatives, and continuing to expand her knowledge and skills as a future mental health counselor.
